The Ridgid 1224 Threading Machine is a heavy-duty pipe threading system designed for professional plumbing, mechanical and industrial pipe fabrication work. Built to thread a wide range of materials including black steel, galvanised pipe, stainless steel, plastic-coated pipe and conduit, the 1224 delivers reliable, accurate threads across a broad capacity range from ½″ to 4″ pipe.

Powered by a capacitor-start / capacitor-run induction motor, the machine maintains consistent performance even where voltage drop occurs on site. This makes it ideal for demanding job site environments where reliable threading performance is essential.

The machine features a two-speed gearbox allowing operators to switch between speeds depending on pipe diameter, while through-head oiling ensures the dies and workpiece receive continuous lubrication for cleaner threads and longer die life.

With a hammer-type chuck with replaceable rocker-action jaw inserts, a cam-action rear centring device and a self-priming oiling pump, the Ridgid 1224 provides the stability, control and durability required for professional pipe threading operations.
